Welcome to the Downstream Processing (DSP) for Alternative Proteins & Cellular Agriculture Summit!

The first Downstream Processing (DSP) for Alternative Proteins & Cellular Agriculture Summit took place in September 2023 to provide case-study insights into novel strategies to reduce cost, improve titre, and guarantee quality for commercial scalability for novel foods.

Attendees were joined by 60+ CTOs, process engineers, regulatory and quality specialists, product developers and analytical chemists at the only dedicated downstream processing meeting within the fast-evolving world of next-gen novel foods. They returned to the office with practical insights to rapidly scale-up alternative novel foods’ production.

The Summit included:

	3 deep-dive workshops into critical topics such as building technically equipped workforces, R&D-scale DSP modelling, and deciding between external partnerships and setting up pilot plants with Finless Foods, Motif FoodWorks & TurtleTree
	Engaging panel discussions and roundtables to crowdsource ideas related to scaling up vs scaling out, adding functionality to the final ingredients, and more
	7+ hours of networking, including the famous speed networking session
